![]() ![]() It's ok for dinner but prices are too high and the quality of the food not so great. The only good thing about this place is their bar man on the main bar, very knowledgable and knows his job, excellent drinks and a nice person to talk to. The calamari are greasy and seem they have been sitting on the food line for hours, shrimp smells of medicine ( must be the preservatives they use), clams seemed dried and tasteless after they've been in the oven for a while. Now, the only thing we order at the bar would be the fresh raw oysters. The hot appetizer for two used to be a a crowd pleaser at the bar always fresh and great with a few cocktails and drinks. However, they've gottena bit sloppy with the food. It's a nice place near the water with an outside bar and view of the marina. ![]() You will not be disappointed having a meal here.I've been going to Sea Shore for years and I just have to say: their food was better in the past. It is a great family restaurant and the waiters go out of their way to engage the youngsters in your party. If you are looking for fresh seafood, or mouthwatering ribs, and want the relaxation of sitting on a deck and watching the boats pass by, then the Seashore is the perfect choice for you. ![]() Try and sit on their deck if possible.the views and sea breeze are enchanting-and if you catch the sunset, it will be one of your more memorable dining experiences. Can you really ask for more than a delicious meal, excellent service, beautiful surroundings watching the boats and seeing a spectacular sunset all included in the price of your meal? What a gem City Island is and although there are LOTS of restaurants from which to choose the Seashore remains the best for the dollar value, quality of food, excellent serving staff, valet parking, and overall ambiance. I think the management may have changed in the past few years, but luckily NOT the food. As a matter of fact, the service although always good in the past, was even better and more professional this time. Every request was met with a smile and very professional service. Leslie, Debbie, Dana, and the entire wait staff are so polite and accommodating. Joe and John, the managers went out of their way to have Haddock on the menu for one of our group. The lobsters are delicious and fresh, served with the bib and correct utensils for eating!!! Even though the youngstes in our group did not eat lobster they were given the bibs too!!One of our party eats very little fish-NOT TO WORRY- they have the best ribs around-MEAT FALLS OFF THE BONE !!! There are delicious burgers, chicken, and pasta dishes from which to choose. There is so much food.all fresh.and so many free starters like the warm round loaf of Italian Bread, ( heavenly), fresh vegetables and olives and cheese, a carafe of ice water on the table, the main courses are HUGE, accompanied with a pre main course salad of greens, shrimp and mandarin slices, and your entree comes with baked potato, fries or rice. There were 4 youngsters in our group and the special menu for them had lots to choose from. We sat out on the deck enjoying the lovely breeze off the water and watching a spectacular sunset. So happy to return for a wonderful family meal ( 14 ) people June 22 for my daughter-in-law's birthday. All in all a perfect I'm glad to be back in the Bronx The service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The seafood specials are all huge, and we decided to go for their "5 course special" (priced nicely at $29.95) this included choice of Manhattan or New England clam chowder, small antipasto (olives, beans, carrots, peppers, cauliflower) with Italian bread and corn bread, a salad, a choice of Maine Lobster or Surf and Turf (6 oz lobster tail, and 8 oz sirloin steak and, a choice of pasta or baked potato, and a choice of dessert (we went for the delicious cheesecake and passed up the apple tart) It felt great to have a lavish seafood dinner while gazing at the waters of City Island. ![]() Valet parking makes it easy and you have a choice of eating "al fresco" but we chose to eat by the window inside as it was very warm that evening. We've eaten there before but not for a while. We just returned from four days at Niagara Falls, Ontario and had our first dinner out back in the Bronx. ![]()
